J&K: In Jammu & Kashmir, an army man injured in a nocturnal encounter with terrorists in South Kashmir’s Shopian village, succumbed at hospital in wee hours today.
The encounter followed the launch of cordon and search operation in midnight hours in Pandushan village area of Shopian district.
Security sources said that counter-terrorist operation is underway in the village.
They said that at least two terrorists are believed to be trapped and engaged in a gunfight.
Meanwhile, an army soldier was injured when an Army vehicle was targeted in Zahid Bagh village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district in wee hours today.
Security sources said that an army vehicle was targeted with an Improvised Explosive Device that was planted along the road in Zahid Bagh area causing minor damage to the vehicle.
The injured soldier was shifted to hospital for treatment.
