Tokyo Olympics: Ravi becomes second Indian to win silver medal in wrestling

Today is the 14th day of the Tokyo Olympics. India got off to a great start today. Indian men’s hockey team created history. In the match played for the bronze medal, India won the medal by defeating Germany. In this match, team India defeated Germany 5-4.

Indian wrestler Ravi Kumar Dahiya has won silver medal in Tokyo Olympics. However, he lost to a Russian wrestler in the men’s 57kg final. Despite this, he managed to win silver. Ravi has become the second Indian wrestler to win silver medal at the Olympics.

Apart from this, India is disappointed in wrestling. Star wrestler Vinesh Phogat lost in the quarterfinals. She was defeated by Belarus wrestler Vanessa Kaladzinskaya in this match. However, Vinesh’s hopes of winning a medal still remain.

Indian wrestler Anshu Malik disappointed in the women’s freestyle 57kg repechage event. She was defeated by Valeria Koblova of the Russian Olympic Committee. After this defeat, Anshu was out of the Tokyo Olympics.

Indian wrestler Deepak Punia missed out on winning the bronze medal. He was defeated by Najem Myles 4-2. Deepak Punia made several mistakes in the last minutes due to which the bronze medal slipped from his hands.
