Martyr Rohin Kumar Cremated with state and Army honour

Martyr Rohin Kumar died in cease fire violation in Punch Sector of J&K

Hamirpur, August 01 (QNN)

Martyr Rohin Kuamr who was made supreme sacrifice in cross border firing in Punch Sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday night was cremated with army and state honour at the village crematorium of Galore Khas today.  The body of the martyr was flown to Hamirpur in a chopper from where it was taken to his native village.

The 24 year old soldier Rohin was hit by a mortar near LAC fired from across that border with Pakistan. The seriously injured Rohin Kumar was shifted to the nearest hospital of Indian Army but succumbed to the injuries.

It was learnt that Rohin had returned to join his duty in February from home and was expected to come home in village Galore Khas in Nadaun Subdivision on Raksha Bandhan.

Sanjeev kumar Vice President of the gram Panchyat told that Rohin was son only of Rasil Singh of the village.

He was only brother of two sisters including one married and younger unmarried. The parents were busy in arrangements for his marriage when the news of his martyrdom reached home.

Harikesh Meena said that the mortal remains of martyr Rohin Kumar arrived today evening by a helicopter NIT ground at Hamiprur. He said that the cremation was done with state and army honour at the village crematorium at galore Khas today.

Thousands of people from all walks of life from around the villages paid tribute to the martyr. The  contingent of 14 Punjab Regiment, officers of administration and police were also present.
