PM Modi takes stock of COVID-19 situation in states

New Delhi, July 20

Narendra Modi Prime Minister on Sunday had a telephonic communication with the chief ministers of Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Telangana, Himachal Pradesh Tamil Nadu, and Uttarakhand to discuss the COVID-19 situation in their states.

With the highest spike of 38,902 cases reported in the last 24 hours in the country, COVID-19 tally on Sunday reached 10,77,618, said Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry.  The death toll had rose up to 26,816 with 543 deaths in the last 24 hours. Health Ministry said that the total number of cases included 3,73,379 active cases and 6,77,423 patients have been cured, discharged or migrated.
