ELEVEN new cases in Kangra ONE in Kullu

With 12 more persons tested positive for corona virus the total number of Covid-19 patients had surged to 104 in Himachal Pradesh. Reportedly, all those tested positive had returned from Mumbai on May 18 and were symptomatic for corona virus. This is highest single day rise in cases in the state so far.
In the first bulletin today five from Kangra tested positive while six were reported in the second bulletin. Persons tested positive in first bulletin included three members of a family including Mother (56), son (31) and daughter-in-law (25) residents of village Jeol, a woman from LambaGaon (43) and a male (31) from Jwalamukhi. Amongst other six persons who were reported positive in second bulletin included three of family including father, mother and child from Sari Malog village. Others who were tested positive included male age 55 was resident of village Chanjehari in Bhawarna area and 21 year old male from village kohli in Baijnath area and Eight year old girl from lambagaon. All the 11 patients have been shifted to Corona containment centre in Baijnath.
One youth (23) from Ani area of district Kullu was reported positive for corona virus.
This has taken total numbers of cases in Himachal to 104 with 50 active cases in the state, 47 cured, three deaths and four migrated out of the state.
Richa Verma Deputy Commissioner Kullu said that the person was under institutional quarantine at Bajora. He would be shifted to covid care center, she added. She urged people to follow social distancing for maintaining corona free society.
Rakesh Prajapati DC Kangra said that total 11 persons were tested positive for corona virus today. He said that all the patients had arrived from Mumbai and were under institutional quarantine. He said that they were being shifted to covid care centers in the district.
