The total number of the covid-19 cases from the district had surged to ten with two more persons in the district were tested positive for corona virus today. The total number of cases in Himachal Pradesh had reached to 80 now.
Significantly, two corona virus patients had recovered and seven are active while one had died due to corona virus. Both of the covid-19 patients were shifted to covid-19 hospital Bhota today.
The persons tested positive for corona virus today were from villages Karadi aged 59 and Tayongli aged 35 in gram panchyat Gwalpathar in Nadaun Subdivision in the district. It was learnt that the person from village Karadi had come from Mumbai on May 12 with five persons. He was under home quarantine since then. While the person from village Tayongli had come from Mumbai on May 13 with two other persons of village Batran in a taxi. Their samples were taken on May 16.
Archna Soni CMO said that two persons were tested positive for corona virus in the district today and were shifted to dedicated covid hospital Bhota.
Harikesh Meena District Magisrate said that the process to collect samples of their primary and secondary contacts was started. He said that SDM Nadaun was directed to seal the area around the villages immediately and declare them containment zones.
