“The authorities of health department had put the life of health staff at risk as the PPE Kits supplied to them skip quality standards” said Dr. Pushpinder Verma general secretary of Himachal Pradesh Medical Officers association here yesterday.
The Association of doctors had raised questions on the quality of PPE kits supplied to the corona warriors. Dr. Pushpinder Verma allaged that the quality of the PPE kits was compromised that was big breach in the security of doctors serving covid-19 patients. Dr. Verma said that the label of the company that supplied the kits was not on the kit and the ISI marking was also missing.
He alleged that there could be a bigger scam in the supply of PPE kits to the doctors. He said that the government should investigate the matter at the earliest and ensure that quality PPE klits are supplied to the health staff. He also urged government to regularize the services of contractual staff of health department.
