Police rescued 6 tourists trapped in the snow

Shimla: Six tourists from Andhra Pradesh got trapped in snow in Mashobra, adjacent to Shimla on Tuesday night. 112 On getting information from the helpline, the cops who were in action started a rescue operation after midnight to evacuate the tourists. All the tourists were evacuated early Wednesday. Nagendra Bavu, L. Vijay, Kamal Kumar, Phani Kumar, Milap Kumar and Balbir Singh from Andhra Pradesh came to visit. On Tuesday night, they came out to Mashobra in different vehicles, but got stuck in the snow late at night. The police got information about this at half past one in the night, but the exact location address could not be found. The police team reached the tourists with the help of Google location and WhatsApp. In a rescue operation conducted between Hippa and Shekhalti, they were taken out of the ice safely by 5 am. SP Omapati Jambal confirmed that six tourists have been evacuated and brought to suburbs in a police vehicle. All of them hail from Andhra Pradesh and went to visit Mashobra. They were caught in the snow along with the vehicles on the approach road. He said that all tourists are safe.
