BJP’s Mission Lotus Stalled miserably: Sukhu
CM said that the people of the State have rejected the politics of horse-trading as four turned coat MLAs had faced defeat in the bye-elections.

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the mission lotus of BJP had failed miserably and now BJP leaders have no words for the people of the state. CM was interacting with Media after oath taking ceremony of SIX newly elected MLAs at Shimla today. He said that the claim of BJP to form government in the State has failed as people have elected four Congress candidates in the Assembly bye-elections out of six. He said that Congress Party has consolidated its position in the Vidhan Sabha by raising number of its MLAs to 38.
He said that the present State Government would continue its endeavour to make Himachal Pradesh a self-reliant State and the government has been taking various decisions in this regard. He said that the people of the State have rejected the politics of horse-trading as four turned coat MLAs had faced defeat in the bye-elections.
Chief Minister said that the Congress Party is fully prepared for the upcoming three Assembly bye-elections in the State for which the candidates would be finalized shortly.
Later, Newly elected MLAs including Anuradha Rana from Lahaul Spiti Assembly segment and Vivek Sharma from Kutlehar Assembly segment of Una district, along with their delegations, called on Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Chief Minister assured them that the state government would extend all possible assistance for the development of their areas. He said that their victory reflect public approval of the government's policies and programmes. Anuradha Rana and Vivek Sharma expressed special gratitude to the Chief Minister for his support during the by-elections.
