CM casts vote for Mandi Parliamentary constituency by-elections

State registered Mandi PC recorded 57.43 percent polling, Highest in Seraj segment

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur along-with his family members cast his vote at polling booth number 36 set up at government senior secondary school, Bharari in Murhag gram panchayat of Seraj Vidhan Sabha area in Mandi district today for Mandi Parliamentary constituency by-elections. 

The Chief Minister urged the people to exercise their right of franchise in large number as this goes a long way in strengthening our democratic set up.

The state experienced four bye elections today including one Mandi parliament and three assemblies Fatehpur, Arki and Jubbal-Kotkhai.

The highest polling of 78.75 percent was held in Jubbal Kotkhai assembly constituency.

The counting of the votes would be held on November 2.

In total 20 assembly constituencies of the state were in election mode that amount to about 30 percent of the total number of assembly constituencies in the state.
