Judgement Day fixed to June 18 at Shimal CBI court

“Nothing less than execution would meet the Justice to Gudiya”, said Prosecution in Gudiya rape and murder case of Kotkhai. All the arguments in the most heinous case of crime were completed by the special CBI court here today. Notably, a school girl was reported missing on July 4, 2017 to the local police station at Kotkhai and after two days on July 6 her body was found in Tandi forest near Kotkhai. It was established after investigations that the girl was raped and brutally murdered.

There was resentment among people and they restored to agitation following delay in apprehending the culprits. The police station at Kotkhai was set on fire by the people after one of alleged witness died in police custody. The state for the first time witnessed high drama in the case as over eight police personnel were arrested in the death of alleged witness in police custody.

Only one person Neelu Charani was arrested in the case and was to face the orders. He was found guilty in the case after hearing over 55 witnesses and case was registered under various sections of IPC including child abuse and killing.

Meanwhile CBI court had fixed June 18 to pronounce the order of judgement in the case.
