Agriculture Infrastructure Fund launched for farmers by CM

Jai Ram Thakur Chief Minister has thanked the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching a financing facility of Rs 100 thousand crore under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund. The PM on Monday announced the fund for Agri-entrepreneurs, startups, Agri-tech players and farmer groups for post-harvest management and nurturing farm assets.

CM said that the scheme was designed to help farmers, as the Fund would increase the creation of post-harvest management infrastructure and community farming assets including cold storage, collection centres and processing units. 

These funds would enable the farmers to get greater value for their produce and they coud store and sell at higher prices, he added.

Jai Ram Thakur said that 9,12,078 farmers in the State were benefitted under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. He said that Rs 977.77 crore disbursed to these farmers of the State in six installments.
