An earthquake of magnitude 4.2 jolted the Mandi district region of Himachal Pradesh at 4:32 am today, the meteorological said. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 K.M. in northeast of Mandi. No casualty or damage of property has been reported yet.

Most parts of Himachal Pradesh, including Mandi, fall in the high seismic sensitive zone and mild quakes are a regular feature in the region.
