COVID-19 Explosion: 10 persons were tested positive for corona virus in Himachal

Ten more persons were tested positive for corona virus in Himachal Pradesh today. The number of of total covid-19 patients surged to 90 in the state. It was reported that all of them had come from Mumbai and Delhi. The samples of all these patients were taken on May 16 after they complaint of health problem. They had come on different dates to their respective villages. These included five from Hamirpur, Three from Bilaspur and one each from Knagra and Chmba.

In Hamirpur ,two were from Nadaun subdivision of the district including one from village Khungal aged 47 years had come on May 14 while second one from Village Chowki Rajputan (Buni) had come on May 12. Both were under institutional quarantine at village Kashmir and Buni respectively.

Three of the five tested positive were from Hamirpur subdivision. These included a man from village Gwararu aged 54, two from village Reru Padhar including a woman aged 50 and a man 20 years. Both men had come here on May 14 while the woman had arrived on May 10. Both of men were under institutional quarantine at village Majhog Sultani.

Archna Soni CMO Hamirpur said that five persons were tested positive for corona virus in the district today and were shifted to dedicated covid hospital Bhota. Their samples werer taken on May 16, she added.

Harikesh Meena District Magisrate Hamirpur said that the process to collect samples of their primary and secondary contacts was started. He said that four of the patients had come from Mumbai and were under institutional quarantine while one was under home quarantine. He said that SDM’s of of concerned subdivisions were directed to seal the area around the villages immediately and declare them containment zones.
